About the Role/Opportunity :

We are looking for a senior-level sales professional to join Askme National Sales team as a Regional Sales Head - South to develop partnerships with Top brands in the region.

This position is located in Bangalore.

Job Description :

- Managing the revenue for the business vertical in the market including all related strategy, planning, execution for operations and to meet and exceed targets and budget.

- Manage a pipeline of tier-1 national merchants and meet aggressive monthly sales goals.

- Recruiting, building, and leading a sales team - driving recruitment, training and mentoring of team members to ensure individual growth in addition to growth of the business vertical.

- Manage a team of city heads and front line sales team, in the region

- Lead a team of 40-50 sales professionals.

- Sustaining and growing revenue by new client acquisitions, renewing existing clients, and identifying new business development opportunities.

- Managing the team for end-to-end client relationships including pitching, negotiation, contracting, billing / invoicing, payment collection and troubleshooting.

- Formulating targets for the sales team in line with operating plans.

- Helping our merchants to grow and build a loyal consumer base for themselves.

- Ensure quality, consistency and local effectiveness of product sales and merchant marketing.

- Ensure excellence in overall operations of business unit.

- Close high-value retail, hospitality and service clients for Askme.

- Responsible for contract negotiation on new and renewal business.

- Collaborate with other individuals on the sales, operations and other corporate function teams.

- Develops familiarity with merchants- business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive. differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers.

- Understands and applies concepts of deal structure and strategy that are proven models for successful achievement of merchant's desired outcomes

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA a plus Minimum of 10 years of proven success in a competitive sales environment.

- Good people skills with 5+ years of experience in managing and leading teams and budgets. Must have managed layered teams in the past.

- Startup experience preferred.

- Proven success of delivering results in a complex ecosystem; bias towards execution and delivery of success.

- Should possess startup acumen strong work ethic, willingness to get hands dirty and get stuff done.

- Good business judgement, prioritization, focus, and ability to multi-task while working in a highly charged environment.

- Deep understanding of sales and marketing and factors that drive a prospects business

- Demonstrate high degrees of diligence and accountability and can point to respective personal results.

- Ability to exercise outstanding judgment and discretion and work independently

- Ambitious, high-performing and highly energetic team player who is creative and resourceful (i.e. work fast with minimal assistance)
