Role Description :
Job Purpose :
Safeguard Companys interests by providing legal advisory services on any issue, ensuring proper business/legal documents and providing support in litigation

Key Performance Indicators
Drafting :
- Draft transaction and contract related documents from a legal perspective and ensure that the associated risks for the Company are minimized
- Participate in negotiation of key business contracts and provide inputs from a legal perspective
- Validate documents and business deals for legal compliance
- Evaluate and ensure due-diligence in legal function
- To provide training to the business users
No. of cases pending beyond a preset timeline
Adherence to time lines for response to business in drafting important agreements
Communication :
- Establish communication guidelines in line with Company policies
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with the relevant law enforcement agencies, trading standards, customs, Intellectual Property Office, Intellectual Property Crime Group and other supporting agencies and organizations
- Attendroad-shows,tradefaresandotherfocusgroupsdealingwithIntellectual Property issues
Estate Management :
- Manage estate documents and create proper safe to store all important property related documents
Advisory :
- Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations on the company
- Advise internal stakeholders on statutory laws in case of any query
- Intellectual Property Rights and Litigation
- Working knowledge
- Number of inaccuracies /loop holes in contracts observed (during litigation, internal audit, etc.)
- Adherence to timelines for updating latest case laws affecting/impacting business
- Adherence to timelines for resolution of issues (related to legal aspects) raised by Internal Departments

Role Requirements/Specifications :
Qualifications :
Essential :
- Degree in Law from a recognized University
Desired : Company secretary will be added advantage
Previous Experience :
Essential: 4 to 5years of experience
Desired:
- 3-5 years experience as an in-house legal advisor in a large corporation with multiple locations and manufacturing facilities
