Role Description :

Job Purpose :

- Leading research projects assigned on time to time on emulsion polymer-based development activities effectively, for project deliveries on time

Primary Responsibilities : Business Responsibility Areas

Key Performance Indicators :

1) Lead researchers and methodically conduct experiments for product development and establishing a process.

2) Strive to observe and interpret results during polymer development and communicate the same effectively.

3) Knowledge generation through prior art search

4) Maintain proper documentation related to projects.

5) Adherence to 5S, related safety norms and ISO standards of the organization

6) Work on strategic business outcomes of the organization and ensure timeliness are met as per promise

1) Project deliveries with committed timelines

2) Number of technical reports, articles, Invention disclosures, Patents

3) Number of new concepts introduced and proven in the form of prototypes

4) Participation in safety audits, instrument calibrations and maintenance and conducting risk assessments or regular activities

Key Interactions : Internal

With reporting manager, peers, cross functional subject experts, internal stake holders, administration

External : Vendors, Manufacturing Plants, Engineering function

Role Requirements / Specifications :

Qualifications :

ESSENTIAL :

- PhD (Polymer or Organic Chemistry)/ BTech/MTech with relevant experiences

- Well acquainted with computer basics for Data analysis and preparing technical reports

- Polymer synthesis and characterisation

DESIRED :

- Skillful to synthesize polymers, design experiments, reproduce and scale-up to pilot level

- Ability to interpret data using analytical tools like- thermal analysis: DSC, TGA, DMA; spectroscopic analysis: FTIR, NMR; Morphology: SEM, TEM, AFM etc.

Previous Experience :

ESSENTIAL :

- Hands on relevant experience in similar roles/responsibilities

- Communications in the form of technical reports

DESIRED :

- PhD- 1-3 years Industrial/ R&D experience in relevant field

- B.Tech/M.Tech- 7-10 Years industrial/R&D experience in relevant field
