- Analytics Saves at Work is looking for an experienced Data Scientist with extensive Predictive Modelling and Machine Learning experience.
- They will be responsible for conducting data analysis and developing predictive models, leveraging data science and machine learning to solve various business use cases, including marketing intelligence, customer segmentation, and predictive models for sales and marketing organizations.
- The ideal candidate should be adept at using disparate big data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
- An ideal candidate must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights and must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
Responsibilities :
- Work collaboratively with other teams and cross-functional partners within the company to develop, execute, and maintain analytic products in a changing healthcare environment.
- Understand business problems and utilize data science and predictive modelling to develop advanced solutions like GLMs, Machine Learning, and Clustering across a variety of big data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, and Scala), other database platforms (Teradata, SQL databases), and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Develop appropriate data science solutions that create actionable insights and recommendations and prioritizes specific business objectives by client.
- Understand how a company's analytics affect the broader business and bridge the gap between data science and stakeholders with regular and clear communication.
- Manage end-to-end modelling and solution development lifecycle from requirements gathering, identification of data sources, model development and evaluation, to data processes and model implementation.
- Explore and visualize the data using tools such as Tableau
- Work with data engineers to deploy models, build data pipelines, and implement scalable systems.
- Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex data science projects.
- Analyse results and present analytics in a consumable method using overview, major takeaways, major - questions, and next steps and analyse and interpret trends or patterns in data sets through descriptive and multivariate statistics.
- Maintain analytics skillset through understanding new technologies, modelling techniques, and the ability to execute and apply to our work.
- Present results and recommendations to non-technical business partners and stakeholders to drive the decision-making process.
- Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Present information using data visualization techniques.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and senior executive teams.
Skills and Qualifications :
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the Data Science domain
- Graduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, Operations Research, or Computer Science or in any technical field that provides a solid basis for the Data Science
- Excellent understanding/experience with leading machine learning methods such as neural networks, deep learning, KNN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Lasso Regression, Elastic Net Regression, Boosting and Bagging Random Forest, XGBoost, Association Rules, Cross-Validation Method, and Unsupervised Learning and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
- Experience using advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Experience using business intelligence tools Tableau
- Previous work experience blending creativity with analytical, technical, and business acumen to solve the problem
- Must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with others, establish working relationships, and communicate effectively within a large corporate matrix environment.
- Ability to successfully navigate and contribute in a highly matrixed environment and on agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on sales and marketing predictive analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- Previous work experience within a cross-cultural globally diverse team
- Must have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
