About Us : Arthmate is changing the traditional financing landscape through Finance as a service across the spectrum of Business Lending, Co Lending, Financing Technology Suite and P2P financing products. The key responsibility of this role is the management and monitoring of financial risk across the organisation. Partner with the business to proactively manage risk and maintain an effective and efficient control environment over financial risks, with a particular focus on financial reporting risk and Internal controls over financial reporting.

Role Description :

- Responsible for the management and monitoring of financial risk across the organisation. Partner with the business to proactively manage risk and maintain an effective and efficient control environment over financial risks, with a particular focus on financial reporting risk and Internal controls over financial reporting.

- Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organisation, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.

- Performing a risk assessment: Analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company.

- Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the company's previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements.

- Establishing the level of risk the company is willing to take. Preparing risk management and insurance budgets.

- Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks).

- Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders.

- Creating business continuity plans to limit risks.

- Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.

- Maintaining records of insurance policies and claims.

- Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals.

- Work closely with various product teams and business process owners, Arthmate's Internal Audit team and External Auditors to manage financial risk by facilitating an effective and efficient control environment.

- Provide training and certification for organisation staff so that they can be aware of risks and try to avoid them.

Job Requirements :

- Minimum 6-8 years of Post Qualification Work Experience in Risk Management or compliance.

- Strong working knowledge of risk management and previous experience working with risk (i.e. risk assistant or risk analyst).

- PRM/FRM certification may be beneficial.

- Thorough understanding of the business or organisation's goals and values.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

- Ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately.

- You pay strong attention to detail and organisation.

- Solid research skills using the internet and first-person interviews.
