Armman is a thriving not for profit working towards the objective of reducing maternal and child mortality in India. Armman's flagship program Mitra leverages on the mobile penetration in India to provide valuable health and nutrition-related information (via voice calls) to expectant and new mothers (primarily in urban slums).Currently, we have a team of 101 full-time staff.
We are looking for an experienced Human Resource professional to head our HR function with overall responsibility for all people related processes/systems/initiatives.
Job Location: Santa Cruz (e) Mumbai
Reports to: COO
Responsibilities broadly include:
1. Ensuring articulation and reinforcement of the organizational vision and culture through vision alignment and culture building initiatives.
2. Formulating and implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence.
3. Enabling organization level strategy formulation and evolving HR plans linked to the key organizational strategies and goals.
4. Ensuring goal setting at the organizational level and goal cascade across the organization.
5. Driving a performance-oriented culture by evolving and deploying a Performance Management System, including adequate Review mechanisms across levels.
6. Propose and implement effective organizational structures and design for efficient and effective utilization of talent at ARMMAN
7. Evolving and implementing hiring protocol, onboarding plan for new joiners, orientation plan for existing employees.
8. Implementing a robust learning, development and career growth plan for employees, including Leadership Development, in line with ARMMAN's current and future organizational needs.
9. Ensuring statutory compliances.
10. Being a guide/support to the leadership team members on all people issues.
Candidate specification:
a) Educational Qualifications:
- Graduation in any specialization (Essential)
- MBA in HR (Desirable)
- Certification in Labour Laws / HR tools & techniques (Desirable)
b) Attributes / Skills / Competencies required:
- Passion for Social Sector
- Excellent Influencing skills
- Empathetic, yet equally Results driven
- Relationship Building
- Effective communication skills, in English, Hindi and Marathi
c) Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 years with at least 2 years managing the HR function for an organization with up to 100 full-time employees.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with start-ups / fast growing organizations/organizations from the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience of implementing/using HR software will be desirable.
d) Areas of experience:
- Must have acted as a key driver of:
- Culture building initiatives
- Change across the organization and
- Successfully introduced and setup best-in-class HR practices & processes
