Job Objective and Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Costing and Budgeting Manager to join our finance team. The Costing and Budgeting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the costing and budgeting processes within the organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, costing techniques, budget preparation, and variance analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

- Costing Analysis: Conduct comprehensive costing analysis to determine the cost of production, services, or projects. Analyze variances between actual costs and standard costs to identify areas of improvement.

- Budget Preparation: Coordinate the budgeting process across departments, working closely with department heads to gather inputs, create budget models, and develop budget forecasts. Ensure budgets are aligned with organizational objectives and financial regulations.

- Financial Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts based on industry trends, historical data, and current financial performance. Provide insights and recommendations to management regarding potential risks and opportunities.

- Variance Analysis: Monitor budget performance on an ongoing basis and perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and their root causes. Prepare reports highlighting key variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.

- Process Improvement: Continuously review costing and budgeting processes to streamline procedures, improve accuracy, and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices and standardize processes across the organization.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and budget vs actual reports. Present findings to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations.

- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of costing and budgeting analysts. Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience 15+ years as a Costing Manager, Budgeting Manager, Financial Analyst, or similar role.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA designation preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of costing techniques, budgeting processes, and financial analysis.

- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (ERP systems).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
