The objective of the Area Sales Manager role is to lead and oversee sales activities within the designated area, ensuring alignment with Annual Balanced Scorecard (BSC) objectives. This role involves strategizing, planning, and executing sales initiatives, and fostering growth.
Sales Planning and Budgeting:
- Create regional sales plans and budgets in alignment with Annual BSC objectives.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to achieve targets.
Support to Relationship Managers:
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to Relationship Managers.
- Assist in resolving client issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Performance Evaluation:
- Evaluate the performance of the region as a whole and individual Relationship Managers.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaboration with Internal Support Departments:
- Effectively liaise with internal support departments to ensure the smooth functioning of business operations.
- Coordinate with departments such as marketing, operations, and finance as needed.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on regional sales results to senior management.
- Forecast quarterly and annual profits, highlighting areas for growth or improvement.
Market Analysis and Growth Opportunities:
- Analyze regional market trends and competition to discover new growth opportunities.
- Address potential problems promptly and suggest effective solutions.
Expansion and Innovation:
- Participate in decisions regarding regional expansion or acquisition.
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
