I have Urgent Requirements in Pharma Company for the Position of "Area Sales Manager"

Location: Pan India (All State) - Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore

Salary Up to 8 LPA

Responsibilities:

In specified key accounts, and in partnership with relevant Manager and other stakeholders to sell Company products and services in the amounts required to meet or exceed assigned quotas thereby maintaining and constantly improving the Company's competitive position.

- Work with the Marketing Department to provide a coordinated selling effort on current products and to provide clinical feedback during the initial roll out phase of a new product.

- Consistently work to improve personal knowledge and sales skills to become of greater value to current and potential customers and to the organization.

- Maintain accurate and up to date records of business dealings within assigned territory, and submit required reports to Manager in a timely and accurate manner.

- Reports include, but are not limited to territory customer records, sales updates and forecasts, weekly expense reports, monthly reports, and annual business plans.

- Ensure regional achievement of annual sales targets.

- Call on clinicians to promote and sell the benefits of Smiths Medical’s products.

- During ride alongs and in other training sessions, work to improve the sales competency of the reps in his/her area of responsibility.

- Conduct in-services when appropriate to insure initial conversion to and the ongoing use of Smiths Medical’s products.

- Work with his/her Manager & teams to develop and execute effective cross-selling strategies involving the Smiths Medical products.

- Work with established Company customers within an assigned territory to best utilize Company products and services for the greatest value to customers and their patients. Value to customers includes the following areas: Clinical, Financial, Reimbursement, Quality, and Reliability in products and services.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

- Must have two (5-6) years prior experience in medical device/equipments sales or equivalent sales experience.

- BS/BA degree in business, health sciences, engineering or related field of study required.

- Proven expert prospecting, selling and negotiating skills in the medical device or related industry, including networking and partnering

- Effective and creative customer problem solving skills.

- Training skills required to effectively train customers and demonstrate Company products and services.

- Knowledge of medical device or related industry sales and marketing policies and procedures, reimbursement/financial protocols, and an understanding of customer business.

- Proven effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

- Demonstrated analytical and financial skills to identify patterns and draw conclusions from data and correlate data with business needs.

- Advanced computer skills for use with Email, PowerPoint, word processing and spreadsheets

Abilities:

- Ability to effectively manage assigned Area in terms of strategic planning, organization skills, sales forecasting, goal setting, and profitability.

- Ability to use imagination and inventiveness to generate novel ideas, approaches and/or solutions that will enhance Company profitability.

- Ability to use communication methods and strategies that influence desired results.

- Ability to establish and maintain credibility, trust, and positive relationships.

- Demonstrated analytical and financial skills to identify patterns and draw conclusions from data and correlate data with business needs.

- Ability to use imagination and inventiveness to generate novel ideas, approaches and/or solutions that will enhance Company profitability.

- Ability to quickly adapt and respond to job environmental and industry changes.

- Ability to appropriately deal with success and defeat.

- Ability to handle and work under stressful situations.

Planning and Decision Making:

- Direction is generally stated in terms of goals or objectives taking several weeks or months to achieve.

Impact and Scope:

- This is a very visible position to our customers, competitors, and the general public. Any unethical or unreliable actions could seriously affect the Company's reputation, public relations, and ultimately sales and revenue.

- Erroneous judgment, strategic planning, decisions and/or recommendations could result in loss of sales and failure to achieve critical goals.

- Failure to react on a timely basis to changing market conditions could result in the loss of current customers, prospective customers and loss of sales.

- Defective strategy in forecasting sales could result in excessive manufacturing and inventory costs, decreased profits, and misappropriation of revenues.

- Represents the Company to its present and potential customers in an ethical and consistently reliable manner.

- Direction is generally stated in terms of goals or objectives taking several weeks or months to achieve.

- Responsible for assigned territory's success or failure in terms of the Company's reputation and profitability.

- Within established Company policies and procedures incumbent must use extensive creative decision making and planning skills in order to accomplish goals. However, incumbent is accountable for final results and profitability of their assigned territory.
