Purpose of the Role :
Area Sales Manager (Modern Trade) - The ASM acts as a leader for the Modern Trade team in Company for their Area / City and manages the Company relationship with key Modern Trade retailers in their region, the likes of Croma, Reliance, E-Zone and others.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Management
- Responsible for sales in the Modern Trade channel through Shop-in-Shops
- Target setting and joint business planning with regional managers in our Modern Trade Partners
- Tracking and driving key sales metrics - walk-ins, demonstrations, conversions on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
- Owning the quality of the demonstrations made by our Company Demo Experts in the SIS / Modern Trade outlets
- Generate leads and drive to closure
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of 10 - 15 Demo Experts deployed at Modern Trade / SIS outlets in your area
- Establish strong field operations metrics to run this team across the city
- Lead from the front. Train and mentor the team, keep the team motivated on an ongoing basis.
- Continuously building technical and sales skills for self and team about Company and competitor machines
- Team development and retention
Customer Experience
- Responsible for strong customer feedback and net promoter score metrics in the Modern Trade / SIS channel
- Making sure that the team is delivering a high-quality machine demonstration
- Managing & delivering a high-quality customer experience
- Ensuring the Company space in the Modern Trade outlets is in accordance with our very high Brand standards
Business Operations
- Provide real time feedback to reporting managers at each stage of the funnel. Support issues to assist team on improving customer experience and product reliability opportunities
- Capture and report any emerging product reliability and safety issues reporting.
- Submit daily/weekly reports
- Ensure that the team members follow all operational processes
Person Specification
- MBA from premier institute / Graduates with the exceptional track record can be considered
- Experience range required is 2-5 years
- Should have had salespeople leadership experience
- The person should be willing to work in the field and should be comfortable with 6 days- work week with weekly off (not essentially a Saturday or a Sunday).
- The role may require the candidate to work on public holidays for which a compensatory off will be given during the month.
- High level of customer service orientation required- a desire to help or serve others, to identify, meet and exceed their needs and expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The candidate must be self-driven, ambitious
- Strong presentation and people skills - managing the team, influencing key stakeholders in the organization
- Strong analytical and planning skills
