Role Purpose:
To lead and manage the sales operations for food service in the assigned state, targeting institutions and the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes) sector. The primary responsibility includes growing sales revenue, maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across channels.
Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
1. Financial:
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve targets in the HoReCa (Food Service) segment
- Responsible to drive Primary Sales and Redistribution
- Understand and ensure profitable / sustained growth of business
Customer:
- Strengthening the distribution network & infrastructure of RDS, C&FA's to increase the width and depth of availability of Zydus products including new sales channels.
- Meet & build strong connect with Institutional customers such as Hotels, Restaurants, Bakery, Caf's etc for sales of Zydus products.
2. Process:
- Execution & monitoring market inputs
- Ensure availability of stocks at optimum level with RDS / C&F warehouse in his territory
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate and expand our presence in the Food Service market.
- Analyze market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities
3. People:
- Effective management of Sales Officers for motivation , training & development & productivity enhancement
- Collaboration with the team and cross functional teams for effective execution
- Demonstrate company values, ethics & pride through exemplary behavior
Key Deliverables:
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed the sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Manage the sales funnel and pipeline for Institutional and HoReCa segments.
- Create and execute sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer base within the state.
- Identify and seize business opportunities, especially in bulk sales to institutions and the HoReCa segment.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients including hotels, restaurants, catering companies and Institutions.
- Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs and address any service issues or queries.
- Conduct periodic customer feedback sessions to enhance service quality.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team under your supervision, ensuring high motivation and performance.
- Monitor team performance and provide on-going support to achieve sales objectives.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Provide market intelligence to Senior Management to inform overall business strategy.
Business Development:
- Drive new business opportunities by targeting large institutions, hotels, and restaurants etc..
Product Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and campaigns aimed at increasing product visibility.
- Work closely with chefs, F&B managers, and purchasing teams to promote the company's product portfolio.
Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare and present monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities, customer contacts, and business deals.
- Manage the sales budget for the area, ensuring efficient use of resources
