Area Sales Manager - General Trade / Distribution Sales

We are hiring an FMCG Company.

Base Location - Mumbai

This position will report into Regional Head West.

Working Exp - 8 Yrs+

Education : MBA Full time is a Must

Working experience into Commodity business is a MUST.

Food grains (Rice, Wheat, Atta), Pulses (Gram, Tur, Urad, Moong, Masur), Edible Oils (Groundnut Oil, Mustard Oil, Vanaspati, Soya Oil, Sunflower Oil, Plam Oil), Vegetables (Potato, Onion, Tomato) and other items (Sugar, Gur, Milk, Tea, Salt)


Geography to look after - Western Line + South Mumbai (Mira Road to Borivali)

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, overseeing collections, acquiring new customers, developing markets, and managing stock within your designated region. You will play a crucial role in achieving revenue targets, expanding our customer base, and ensuring the efficient distribution of products.

The position requires strong leadership skills, excellent sales acumen, and a strategic approach to market development.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the general trade sales teams in translating strategy into sales business plans and go-to market strategy within budgeted costs.

- Prepare and maintain annual sales & distribution plans to deliver budgeted revenue, Profit and Brand equity targets for the year based on category and channel.

- Enhance market penetration by setting up and managing the General trade distribution.

- Distributor and Retailer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our brand values and objectives.

- Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, channels, and potential partners within the general trade sector to increase brand presence and sales. Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals within the general trade segment.

- Collaborate with distributors to strengthen relationships and drive business growth. Develop market entry strategies for new product launches or expansion into new territories.

Qualifications:

- Regular MBA is Must.

- A minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on the general trade segment.

- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.

- Strong knowledge of the general trade distribution channels, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.

- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for the cosmetic industry.
