As the Area Sales Manager - General Trade, you will be responsible for the sales performance of the General Trade Channel and for driving primary and secondary sales in your assigned territory. Your responsibilities include:

- Planning, implementing and monitoring annual drive-plan for the whole territory as an entrepreneurial manager

- Driving, tracking, managing and reporting Primary and Secondary sales in the territory

- Owning responsibility for all promotional activities in the territory

- Preparing comprehensive business plans and breakdown of primary and secondary targets for the team

- FMCG Channel Management: Managing distributors and super distributors, right from their appointment to their ongoing coordination, business relationship and sales performance

- Managing whole sellers /SRO/large traders

- Developing strong analytical, tactical and organizational skills for channel partners

- Driving profitability for channel partners through focused initiatives in distribution and market servicing

- Distributor Appointment and Management and Credit Management

- Monitoring competitor activities and devising effective counter measures

- Driving distribution in GT market in order to increase brand presence and increase market share in the category

- Team management: End-to-end responsibility of handling sales professionals for driving sales and performance against targets

- Conducting review meetings and effecting continuous improvements

- Conceptualizing and implementing incentive schemes and maximizing their impact

- Establishing comprehensive geographic coverage for the territory

- Creating new potential retailer points for the company

- Ensuring best in class in-store execution and compliance

Candidate Profile:

- Demonstrable industry experience of 4 plus years in the FMCG industry as Area Sales Executive/Sr Sales Office/Assistant ASM

- Comprehensive area knowledge of General trade in Hyderabad market is preferred

- Proven experience in F&B is a great add on

- Strong knowledge about distribution set up and excellent distributor relationship

- Ability to track and report using Excel

- Efficient planning and execution skills

- Excellent Communication Skills

- Flexible for travel within India
