Area Sales Manager for Punjab and J&K - FMCG/Consumer Goods background
We are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager for one of the topmost packaged consumer goods Conglomerate in India. The position is to be based at Ludhiana/ Chandigarh.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for identifying the business objectives, forecasting future opportunities mobilizing teams and ensuring the business objectives are met through focused sales effort on a specific channel or for a city or for a state (responsibilities vary by the size of the business being managed)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop business in the states to achieve short and long term objectives along with planning and leading new business opportunities. Responsible for planning and driving sales revenue in designated channel/city or state.
- Identify, analyze and report all sales opportunities and forecasts for a designated area.
- Efficient distribution and sales management by identifying opportunities for better distribution mechanism. Lead process for aligning existing distributors with business objectives and goals and guide and monitor team towards distribution opportunity mapping and identifying solution partner. Establish objectives and processes for distributor appointment and manage and structure key points of operation around distribution management like ROI, investment components, margins, the scope of business growth
- Forecasting and budgeting the area-wise sales opportunities and costs.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing staff for brand building, signage and liaise with various agencies for trade marketing opportunities.
- Profiling, third party payroll management of merchandise, along with business generation.
- Initiating and coordinating BTL activation.
- Select, manage and direct team members to successfully and efficiently achieve assigned business objectives.
Professional/Technical Accreditations:
- Master's in Business or Marketing with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Worked with a CPG organization or experienced in the advertising business. Lead a team of people.
- Worked within cross-functional teams.
Competencies:
- Strong technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent attention to details, follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
- Able to build trust & sustainable interpersonal relationships with multiple stakeholders Self-Motivated, Action Oriented, Planning and Organizing, and Stake Holder Management Able to identify opportunity and convert to business success.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
Job Location : Ludhiana/ Chandigarh
Salary : Best among the industry (Could Range around Rs.25.0-28.0 LPA)
