About our Client: Our client is a global MNC and the largest producer of a certain category of foods. They have growth plans for India and are market leaders within the service portfolio they cater to. They are looking for a Area Sales Manager , based out of Mumbai.
Job Description:
Sales Planning:
- Develop the business in Mumbai to achieve short and long term objectives along with planning and leading new business opportunities. Responsible for planning and driving sales revenue in designated area
Profitability:
- Accountable for profitability, along with short and long term business objectives
Inventory Management:
- Improving and minimizing wastage of resources by efficient collaboration with SCM to aid in swift distribution and transportation
Distribution management:
- Efficient distribution and sales management by identifying opportunities for better distribution mechanism. Lead process for aligning existing distributors with business objectives and goals and guide and monitor team towards distribution opportunity mapping and identifying solution partner.
- Establish objectives and processes for distributor appointment and manage and structure key points of operation around distribution management like ROI, investment components, margins, scope of business growth
- Manage and structure key points of operations around distribution management like investment component, margins, scope of business & growth
People management:
- Building effective teams and direct teams towards business objectives by collaboration
- Budgeting expenses and coordinating national accounts and overlooking the roles and responsibilities of the Area Managers/ Territory Managers
- Train and mentor teams on products, systems and processes.
- Coach and mentor direct reports
The Successful Candidate: Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Masters Business or Marketing
- Knowledge of HORECA/ Institutional sales+ TT /MT as a Channel
- Geographical knowledge of Mumbai & NCR
- Worked within cross functional teams
- Lead a team of 5 to 10
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in sales / customer facing role
