Job Title : Area Sales Manager
Location : Coimbatore / Bhubaneshwar
Department/Group : Consumer Care Position
Reports to Regional Sales Manager
Job Purpose : This position will overlook the sales contribution through the General Trade channel in the given area.
Responsibility :
- Delivering Sales Target assigned to Zone /Area
- People Management - Maintaining a conducive professional relationship with all business partners.
- Managing Team - Keeping them motivated, providing guidance, monitoring performance.
- Driving Local sales promotion schemes, Visibility campaigns and new product launches.
- Monitoring Budgets and utilizing the same to optimum level.
- Managing Depot - ensuring proper claim management, handling compliance issues.
- Analyzing competition scenario & reporting the same. MIS reporting
Skills/Qualifications :
- Candidates with FMCG exposure at a managerial level
Education Qualification : MBA ( Tier I B-schools)
Experience : 3 + years of experience as a manager (ASM)
- Fluent in English & local language.
In a nutshell - Skills/Qualifications :
- We are aiming at rankers for this position mainly for stability / experience which the person will bring and lot of knowledge sharing which will happen.
FMCG exposure : We would need people with solid Sales experience (Area Manager role) - min 4/5 yrs in managerial level. Would be handling around 80 cr business
- Local language fluency is a must. Preferably a local person.
Preferred list : Godrej, Britannia, Colgate, Amul, Dabur, Frito Lays, Reckit, Cavin Kare, GSK, Heinz, Coke.

Requirements :
- MBA from top level 1 / 2 institutes
- Past exp in Standard FMCG companies of 2-4 years
