Job Description - This is an Area Sales Manager role for General Trade out of Mumbai location.

Client Details :

Our client is an MNC in the FMCG world and a leader in the products they own. They are growing immensely in the FMCG market and require to hire an Area Sales Manager for General Trade out of Mumbai.

Description :

The incumbent would report into the Regional Sales Manager for South and West and be responsible to:

- Driving the volume growth agenda for Mumbai


- Business planning, forecasting and delivery of short term & long terms objectives (volume/ revenue/ growth/ systems & processes) at geography/ channel (GT Standalone/ GT Regional Chains)/ account/ category/ product level


- Driving sales team efficiency through effective utilisation of sales enablers like DMS/ SFA by the sales team/ channel partners


- Guiding the team towards expansion of distribution footprint, while managing effective coverage of GT stores in the assigned geography through efficient distribution system


- Distributor appointment in line with desired business objectives and maintaining a robust and efficient Channel Partner network, through effective engagement and measures around healthy ROI management in line with defined business objectives/ processes


- Guiding the team (sales team/ channel partners) to develop high level of engagement and strong working relationships with trade partners to influence in-store fundamentals of assortment and Share of Shelf, in order to deliver targeted volumes and market share

Profile :

The successful candidate should:

1. Have 2+ years of experience in GT sales from an FMCG set up

2. Be an MBA from a college of repute

3. Have an analytical and a entrepreneurial bent of mind
