Job Description Summary:
Responsible for managing sales for assigned territory in North & East Region. Will also be responsible for managing business development, strategic planning and sales for Consumer Electronics vertical in the North & East Region in addition to the Electronic Materials portfolios.
Job Responsibilities:
Position is intended for individuals who are experienced in sales in electronics manufacturing and related tiers. Individuals must be able to achieve sales objectives by generating and converting incremental sales opportunities of assigned or new accounts within assigned territory or assigned vertical. Primarily, manages sales territory with periodic supervision and assistance. When necessary, requests or receives assistance in handling situations which require either greater or different experience or knowledge as needed. The individual must demonstrate effective use of selling skills and have consistently achieved or exceeded forecast over a sustained period of time.
Job responsibilities for this role are divided into 3 parts -
Consumer Electronics Vertical
- To better understand the sales eco-system movement for manufacturing in India.
- Work internally with the Global Key Account Managers, Area Segment Marketers, and Application Development Engineers to understand the latest spec in and new product applications being developed for key customer segments globally and within Asia. Effectively use the information obtained to identify and convert potential opportunities into sales revenue within the India eco-system.
- Build a 3-5 year strategic growth plan with the available data and align investments and support to reach the plan. Work closely with the external key stake holders in the Consumer Electronics segment such as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), CM (Contract Manufacturer) & ODM (Original Design Manufacturer)
- Build rapport with the key customer decision makers and become a single point of contact for all customer service needs.
Other territory Responsibilities:
- Territory responsibilities for North and East region for entire EMSD (Electronics Materials Solutions Division) portfolio
- Key metrices are territory sales, account penetration/distribution, area coverage
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
- Manage distributor sales teams in the territory
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that exceeds growth expectation and expands customer base
Skills, Expertise, and Qualifications Required:
Consumer Electronics Vertical
- Understand customer pain points and work closely with the design team to add value to the product through portfolio offering
- Better understanding of competitor offerings and USP.
- Provide customers with insights on the potential problems which can happen in the real field conditions and what co. has to offer to overcome the same.
- Thorough product and application knowledge on co. offerings for the consumer electronics market.
- Have a macro view on the industry and provide customer with meaningful insights on how they can be competitive and differentiated in the market place
- Have a basic understanding of the electronics manufacturing such as SMT lines, component manufacturing and the terminologies associated with the same.
- Work with convertors to understand how the co. part moves from source plant to the end customer. Understand the value addition at each point. (Material movement, conversion, assembly process)
- Be on the lookout for any investments made in the industry and create leads and have the co. offerings presented.
Other Skills:
- Preferable to be located in Delhi NCR
- Candidate must have background of atleast 4 years of experience in Electronics Industry.
- Must have worked previously in assigned territory.
- BA/BS/BE University degree - Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or Science-related Degrees may be an advantage
- Previous work experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), CM (Contract Manufacturer) or ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) in Electronics Industry would be preferable
- Ability to speak in Standard Chinese is not required, but would be preferable
