ROLE SUMMARY
The role involves spearheading the generation of new business opportunities within the non-life insurance sector, primarily focusing on SME and Corporate clients within the designated operational area.
This position requires the ability to lead and motivate Business Development Executives to meet and exceed assigned business targets by acquiring new customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Acquisition: Identify and secure new clients to establish the organization as a reputable and knowledgeable insurance intermediary.
Business Growth: Drive significant growth in overall business volumes by acquiring and onboarding new customers.
Sales Strategy: Develop effective sales strategies and continuously monitor the performance of the sales team. Implement necessary course corrections to optimize results.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, changes in the insurance landscape, and new product offerings from insurance providers.
Customer-Centric Approach: Prioritize the delivery of high-quality service and responsiveness to meet customer needs and expectations.
Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure it is consistently filled to achieve and exceed targets and Key Result Areas (KRA) set by management.
Service Excellence: Take responsibility for both pre-sales and post-sales service, fostering positive relationships with both external clients and internal stakeholders.
Feedback Loop: Act as a bridge between customers and management, conveying business issues and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports within specified Turnaround Times (TAT).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Educational Background: Possess a Bachelor's Degree from a UGC-approved University.
Language Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English. Additionally, strong verbal communication skills in regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada are required.
Insurance Qualification: While not mandatory, possessing insurance qualifications like Licentiate or Associate is desirable.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Sales Expertise: Accumulate a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Non-Life Insurance sales.
Sales Track Record: Showcase a proven track record of consistently achieving and surpassing sales growth targets year after year.
Insurance Broker Experience: Previous experience with a reputable insurance broker is highly preferred.

Planning and Execution: Possess excellent planning and execution skills to effectively achieve sales objectives.
