Job Description:
- The Area Collection Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the collection processes within a specified area.
- This role requires a proactive approach to managing both individual and team performance, ensuring that collection targets are met, and providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Performance Review:
- Conduct detailed reviews of agency and team performance on a monthly basis.
- Address and take corrective actions against underperforming agencies or team members.
- Identify and recommend new agencies for enhanced collection efforts.
Capacity Management:
- Assess and monitor collection capacities in line with the Average Collection Ratio (ACR).
- Ensure that collection efforts are aligned with the established capacity benchmarks.
Weekly CO Performance Review:
- Perform weekly reviews of Collection Officers' (COs) performance.
- Provide feedback and guidance to improve individual performance.
Target Achievement Control:
- Maintain close control over collection processes to ensure that allocated targets are achieved.
- Develop strategies to overcome challenges and barriers affecting target attainment.
Field Location Visits:
- Travel to all locations within the area on a monthly basis.
- Conduct physical reviews of each field location to assess performance and operational effectiveness.
Receipt Book Audits:
- Conduct periodic audits of receipt books to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Daily Productivity MIS:
- Maintain and update daily productivity Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Share comprehensive reports with higher management, including detailed analysis of performance data.
Monthly Team Meetings:
- Organize and lead monthly team meetings at a hub location.
- Review team performance, discuss challenges, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within collections or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and liaising with higher management.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned area.
- Familiarity with MIS systems and performance management tools.
