Job Description:
- As an Area/Cluster Credit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing credit operations for Commercial Vehicle (CV) loans within your designated area or cluster.
- This role involves leading a team of credit executives, evaluating credit proposals, and ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Operations Management:
- Drive and manage credit operations for CV loans within the assigned area or cluster.
- Ensure smooth and efficient processing of credit applications.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of credit executives.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure team performance and productivity.
Credit Evaluation:
- Assess credit proposals by evaluating financial statements, business viability, and industrial risks.
- Make informed decisions on loan approvals or rejections based on thorough analysis.
Borrower Verification:
- Verify the creditworthiness and track record of borrowers.
- Conduct background checks to ascertain reliability and financial stability.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial statements to assess short-term and long-term solvency and liquidity.
- Identify potential financial risks and opportunities.
Customer Service:
- Understand customer requirements and provide quick, efficient service.
- Address customer queries and concerns related to credit applications.
Audit and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain an audit framework for credit operations.
- Conduct regular audits, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Perform basic analytics to support credit decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver MIS reports to various stakeholders, providing insights into credit operations and performance.
- Approval Rate and Turnaround Time (TAT):
- Monitor and enforce approval rates and TAT as per prescribed standards.
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and meet targets.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.
- Ensure vendor compliance and performance align with company standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience in credit management or financial analysis, preferably within the commercial vehicle sector.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and credit evaluation.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
