Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is currently looking out for Area Business Manager
Position Title: District Manager (1st line)
Division: Market leader in anti-biotics market
Location: Mumbai, Patna and Bhopal
Educational Qualification: Pharmacy or science background (preferably with an MBA degree
Experience: Around 5+ experience in pharma sales. Minimum 1 year experience in team handling
Position Summary:
Accountability:
- To ensure that each brand handled is self sustaining and contributes to the overall objective of the company in terms of market share and profits.
- To handle a team force of 7-8 MRs efficiently and produce better results for the organization.
- To efficiently increase the sales in the allotted region
- To handle a business of 35 lacs per month
Competencies Required:
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to set the necessary marketing strategy for creating required push and pull in the market to enhance the presence of the company brand.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Knowledge of ethical marketing.
- Maturity and decision making skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and convincing power
- Role clarity
- Consistent achiever
- Having knowledge about competitors.
Reporting Structure:
Reporting to Regional Manager
Reportees - 8 Medical Representatives
About the division:
- The SBU has its portfolio several products from various therapeutic segments such as Anti-infectives, GI, Dermatologicals, etc.
- SBU is holding no.1 position in anti-biotics market
- The SBU is the largest contributor in revenues of company giving around 300 crores
- The total field force of this divison is 720 employees on field wherein there are 595 Medical Represenatativess, 100 Area Managers, 21 Regional Managers and 4 Sales Manager in entire India.
- The Medical Representatives of this division are outsourced (on 3rd party payroll). From First Line Managers onwards (ABMs) all are on company’s payroll
