Area Sales Manager (Channel Sales) - Trade Business
This opportunity is with Aquaplex, one of the leading Building Materials distribution organization based in the UAE, Bahrain &Qatar. with a specific emphasis on generating and achieving distribution sales of Aquaplex Product categories in the specified region.
Job Purpose :
Steer the entire gamut of Souq business (All Products & Categories) for the assigned region by managing the dealers and sub distributers, merchants / traders through accurate and effective sales forecasting, business development, product portfolio promotion, team building, training & development, & financial administration.
Main Accountabilities include :
Sales and Channel Management :
- Handle the assigned region (Abu Dhabi/ Sharjah & NE/ Bahrain/ Qatar) for the complete product distribution portfolio of Aquaplex (Plumbing, Electrical, Hardware and any other newly introduced category of products.
- Responsible to generate & achieve the assigned Sales targets through traditional merchant/ dealer/ trader networks in the region.
- Development and strengthening of Aquaplex Group and associated brands/ product image, garnering market share and improvement.
- Promote various brands/ products and ensure increase in product/market share for Aquaplex in the assigned region.
- Identify, establish, develop & acquisition of new customer accounts(trader/dealers) by Direct Sales, Distribution Channels.
Key Accounts Management & Client Servicing :- Build and develop strong ongoing relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Closing opportunity & strengthening relationship with strategic account by leveraging key account management skills.
- Manage & drive Delta Sales by managing Key Accounts/ dealers by leveraging relationships and client engagements.
- Develop and appoint new Dealer & Sub-dealer Network. Possess deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition. Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions.
- Collaborating with trade marketing team and category leads for formulating marketing strategies, implementing promotions through product mix, and so on.
- Approaching new prospects and arranging meeting with them.
Sales Team Management :- Supervise a team of driven sales executives and ensure channel sales and direct sales.
- Own weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
- Ensuring weekly/monthly sales plans with each sales executive in regard to targets, key customers, key accounts, product category etc. for the region.
- Conducting sales team reviews periodically and ensures that appropriate actions are taken to meet the business objective.
- Support the team to meet its sales target (Revenue & Margin) & Monitor and report progress on revenue and pipeline.
Sales Planning & Reporting :- Weekly/monthly/ quarterly/ annually sales forecasting.
- Compiling and analyzing critically the company's sales & marketing strategy.
- Submitting Sales Reports on daily and weekly basis to management. Monitoring account performance and implementing new strategies to maximize profitability.
- Follow up for outstanding payments with corporate clients.
- Negotiation of favorable Pricing, Delivery/Supply Terms and Conditions and payment terms with clients.
- Providing inputs on market trends, competitor activities& pricing, credit worthiness, supply-demand situation, market-share to management and product development opportunities to strengthen the Company's foothold in the region.
Sales Coordination :- Coordination with Supply chain, finance, credit control and respective business units to execute sales deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :Minimum Qualification :- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 7-10 years of relevant business / industry (Building materials, tools, electrical, hardware, sanitaryware, paints etc.).
- Team management experience - must have handled a large team of sales officers/ sales executives.
- Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.
- Must have experience of channel sales, B2B marketing, territory growth management, dealer/ sub-dealer development.
