Applied Statistics/Modeling

Desired Candidate Profile: -

- Strong academic background with degree in statistics or equivalent from a leading institution

- Experience in Processing large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis.

- Capable of Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.

- Should be proficient in the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.

- Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data.

- Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods.

- Hands on experience of analytical tools like mahout, R, Minitab is essential

- Hands on experience on RDBMS (MS SQL, Oracle etc.,)

- Knowledge of Java, C/C++ is desirable

- Strong strategic thinking, facilitation and analytical skills.

- Experience in building performance efficient Data models and perform analytics over these data models

- Should be expert in : -

- Varied kinds of data and applicable algorithm’s

- Different Kinds of classifications, clustering, recommendation techniques

- Various kind algorithm’s/ tools and techniques for text and Data mining.

- Should be well aware of various performance analyzers tool and techniques

- Knowledge of Hadoop and other bigdata related technologies would be a plus

- Should be programming language agonistic and open to work in any language

- Good in communication and presentation
