Application Development Technical Lead - TSG India

Summary

The Application Development Technical Lead position located in India is responsible for driving the ASG's delivery effort with Client Strategic Partners. This position provides technical and development expertise through a hands-on approach to teams and projects developing offshore. Ultimately, the person in this role must ensure the solution is understood and can be delivered by the offshore teams focused on development. This includes, resolving questions, issues, and concerns regarding the solution. Moreover, the incumbent makes certain the solution takes into account the guidelines, constraints, and overall strategic direction set by the ASG, Enterprise Architecture, Security (CIP), and Infrastructure planning (ISG) as well as mentoring resources to help them understand Client delivery best-practices. This aspect of the role requires understanding of when and how to engage and collaborate with those teams.

Duties, Scope and Dimensions

1. This position will be part of a TSG based team in Chennai, India providing technical leadership to Strategic Partners- Delivery teams

a. Communicate and coordinate implementation of the Tech solution with the development team.

b. Perform requirement traceability to technical design.

c. Develops prototypes or framework components for delivery team to reuse.

d. Participate hands-on in delivery efforts.

e. Ability to assess technical talent.

2. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in providing technical specifications for development language work based on functional designs and solution architectures.

3. The position will work collaboratively with the other members of the organization including resources from the TSG Architecture, System Analysis, Delivery and Quality Assurance communities to complete technical designs and framework.

Qualifications / Skills:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 12-18 years of professional IT work experience including at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role. Minimum 10 years- work experience in Application Development

- Broad, applied experience with common computing platforms, legacy and modern development tools and languages, database management systems, and enterprise application integration (middleware) technologies.

- Should have worked on Java Platform for Minimum of 5 Years

- Should have Worked on Health Insurance Projects.

- Should have strong Experience in Java Application Development (Large Enterprise Applications)

- Should have minimum 3+ Years experience in Project Delivery.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization

- Ability to successfully work within multiple requirements, design, and development approaches and methodologies (agile, iterative, waterfall, etc.)

- Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.

- Results-oriented and diligent with a sense of urgency.

- Assertive and self-directed.

- Ability to identify and implement required actions quickly in order to accomplish goals, eliminate roadblocks, and create focus.
