PR & Communications lead


Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and creative PR and Communications Lead to drive the public relations and communication efforts for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in media relations, brand storytelling, and internal/external communication strategies. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's brand visibility, strengthen media relations, and ensure consistent, impactful messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communications strategies to support brand goals.

- Create communication plans for key initiatives, launches, and announcements.

- Monitor and adapt strategies based on industry trends and performance analytics.

Media Relations and Outreach:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, and industry influencers.

- Pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and manage press releases to maximize positive media coverage.

- Act as a spokesperson for the company when necessary and provide media training for key team members.

Content Development:

- Oversee the creation of press releases, speeches, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content.

- Ensure content is consistent in tone, style, and messaging, reinforcing brand identity and values.

- Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality communication materials.

Crisis Management:

- Prepare communication strategies to manage sensitive issues and crises as they arise.

- Develop and maintain protocols for crisis communication, ensuring quick and accurate responses.

Internal Communication:

- Coordinate internal communication initiatives to engage and inform employees.

- Organize events, newsletters, and announcements to foster company culture and alignment.

Analytics and Reporting:

- Track and analyze PR and communication metrics to measure the impact of initiatives.

- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on media coverage, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or a similar role, with experience in managing PR campaigns.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven track record in building relationships with media outlets and journalists.

- Strong understanding of media relations, content creation, and crisis management.

- Ability to think strategically, work under pressure, and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

- Proficiency in using PR and media monitoring tools.

- Experience in digital marketing and social media communications.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
