Job Description: Corporate Planning Team - Decision Support & PMO

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 3 to 15 years (multiple positions available)

Background & context: It is ~Rs 10,000 cr organization on a fast growth trajectory in the HVAC&R industry. company has an integrated business model with manufacturing, distribution, and service. Blue Star has an established Analytics practice and a COE that provides data driven insights and supports businesses in decision making. It has been working with a network of digital/ analytics partners who are supporting in its digitalization and transformation journey. Blue Star now intends to scale up Analytics & AI initiatives across the company.

The Corporate Planning function at Blue Star has 3 broad areas of work:

- Support in key Strategic Initiatives at the Corporate

- Support in Business Excellence/ Transformation initiatives

- Provide Research & Consulting for specific business/management problems

The Corporate Planning team has been playing a pivotal role in all strategic initiatives and programmes, including Analytics & AI Migration. Acting as a Catalyst, the CP team will work with the cross functional teams comprising Business, IT and Data Science to scale up Analytics & drive impact for the organisation. The proposed role is an exciting opportunity that will actively support Blue Star to achieve competitive edge.

Role Overview:

As a member of the Corporate Planning Team at Blue Star, you will play a pivotal role in driving decision support and overseeing the Programme Management Office (PMO) activities. Your responsibilities will include engaging with cross-functional teams, managing Analytics and AI initiatives, identifying and prioritizing use cases, facilitating project scoping, coordinating with external partners, and advocating for the adoption of analytics and data insights.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT) for decision support and programme management.

- Plan and execute Analytics and AI initiatives, including defining tasks, methods, and team assignments.

- Assist Business/Divisions in identifying and prioritizing use cases for analytics.

- Facilitate the project scoping process and problem-solving activities.

- Assist in short listing external partners and work seamlessly with them.

- Interact with Business and Data Science teams to deploy analytics solutions effectively.

- Streamline project planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery.

- Define impact parameters/KPIs aligned with programme objectives.

- Monitor and report on programme progress and performance.

- Advocate for the adoption of analytics and data insights across the organization.

Skills Required:

- Strong consulting skills, including influence, stakeholder management, and analytical reasoning.

- Critical thinking abilities to assess complex situations and provide strategic guidance.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Proven track record in programme management and decision support.

- Familiarity with analytics and AI technologies and their applications in business settings.

This role in the Corporate Planning Team does not involve core execution or delivery of analytics but focuses on expediting and scaling up analytics initiatives within Blue Star.
