Job Description:
(Insurance Analytics - Tableau, SQL)
Brief description of the role:
- Work with the team to develop & optimize Tableau dashboards on large datasets.
- Should have prior experience in designing best in class Tableau dashboards using large datasets (preferably in insurance industry)
- Should have prior experience in optimizing dashboard's performance. This will involve root cause analysis to identify problem areas and to apply appropriate techniques to improve dashboards performance.
- Should be able to write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and process data from databases
- Continuously work towards improving the data flow, queries and the visualization of reports.
- Should be able to look deeper and quickly identify the flow of information from visualization back to data sources.
- Should be able to lead meetings with the client while working on ad-hoc data related projects
- Develop and maintain relationship with business stakeholders
- Business Problem Solutions with Value addition to client businesses
- Research and apply new methodologies to varied client situations
- Ensure adequate project governance (internal and external)
- Contributions to Strategic Initiatives within Analytics practice
Candidate Profile:
Education/Qualification:
- 1. Mandatory: Bachelors in Engineering/ Technology/Statistics or Masters in Computing (In case of graduation in Non-engineering stream), like MCA, BCA, M.Sc. in IT, No B.Com / B.A. candidates unless they have a computing Masters. Master's degree (if there), should be full time (no IGNOU)
Work Experience:
1. Flexible : 2-5 years in Analytics industry
2. Understanding of insurance (Life, Disability, Long Term Care Insurance) would be added advantage
Functional Skills:
1. Tableau (Tableau Desktop Certified Professional/Associate) Certification
2. SQL knowledge (Mandatory)
- Should be able to write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and process data from databases
- Should have exposure to different database systems (Teradata)
Other Requirements:
1. Should be flexible to work in 1-10 PM shift
2. Good communication skills - should be able to converse reasonably fluently in English
