Manager – Analytics (Health)

Location- Gurgaon

Job Responsibilities-

Resourceful and motivated individual for the Health Analytics team. This team leads the initiative to harness internal and external data in solving business problems for our Global Client’s in Health sector. The primary responsibility for the Manager role is to help sell and deliver on Analytics engagements for our clients. The Manager is also expected to contribute towards building ‘Thought Capital’ and conducting value chain analysis for the health care industry (all aspects including payer, provider and public sector health). The successful candidate will have strong consultative skills in addition to quantitative ability. As well as also be exposed to the challenges of using statistics in a business setting, such as incomplete data, biased data, large data sets, low signal-to-noise ratios, high variance and multiple objective functions. Requires being creative and resourceful and we will utilize traditional statistical methodologies as well as newer techniques from computational statistics and data mining.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop methodologies to support Analytical project execution for Health/ Insurance clients

- Supervise statistical models creation and other adhoc analysis to support clients

- Apply appropriate techniques, such as exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis and so on

- Develop and articulate strategic recommendations based on rigorous data analysis

- Partner with client teams to understand business problems and marketing strategies

- Develop Health Analytics practice within the company.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Drive creation of Value Offerings

- Manage a team of analytics resources to ensure that deliverables are met with quality and in a timely fashion.

- Performance management of the team

- Adhere to client SLA’s

Requirements:

- 7-10 years of overall analytics experience, including 3-4 years of quantitative analysis in a health/ insurance setting. Prefer candidate with hands on experience in building statistical models

- MS in Statistics, Data Mining, Econometrics or related fields; MBA helpful

- Should have consulting skills/ project management experience

- Exposure to US Markets is preferred

- Strong ability to work in startup kind of environment

- Desire and ability to collaborate with business partners and drive initiatives

- Ability to tie analytic solutions to business/industry value and outcomes

Technical Skills:

- Must Proficient in SAS / SQL

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
