Analytics Manager - eCommerce/BFSI

Role : Manager - Analytics

Location : Bangalore

Organization : Leading ecommerce company

Position Overview :

- As a Manager, you will be working both as an Individual contributor as well as a team manager. You will be working closely with the business teams to enable them in taking sound business decisions, along with managing & developing a team of analysts.

- On a day-to-day basis, you will be analyzing the impact of new features on key business metrics and generate reports, and also ensuring the smooth execution of deliverables from the team.

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Analysis of both high-level and granular (category and/or product specific) business trends

a. Conduct database analysis using SQL, Excel and other tools

b. Structure and refine analysis with the goal of distilling insights from the data

c. Build and manage processes that produce insights and information on a periodic basis

2. Team Development and Management

a. Support analysts by guiding them in their analysis

b. Help in growing the career of the analysts in the team

c. Contribute to the overall growth of IAC

3. Product/ Feature Support pre-Launch

a. Partner with the Product Management team to evaluate the business case prior to launch of features

b. Design analysis to improve the product/ feature design

c. Present analytical findings to senior management in order to guide decisions

4. Product/ Feature Support post-Launch

a. Analyze and monitor the business impact of newly-launched features

b. Design product/ feature reports and work cross-functionally to implement them

Candidate Requirements :

- Bachelor’s Degree with quantitative background (Engineering/ Maths/ Statistics/ Computer Science/
Economics/ Econometrics); MBA would be plus

- 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in business consulting, ecommerce or financial services

- Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Knowledge of Databases and SQL is required

- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS) is a plus

- Experience in web/product analytics is preferred but not required

- Prior experience in managing a team
