2. POSITION SUMMARY
The Analytics Account Manager is an experienced and credible individual who will act as an Analytics Subject Matter Expert, and have farming, client relationship, and engagement delivery / consulting responsibilities to industry verticals focused on Retail, CPG, Auto & Industrial, Technology, Banking and Financial Services in North America.
2.1 Specific Responsibilities
- Identify and farm analytics opportunities in existing clients
- Work closely with clients and prospective clients to understand their business questions and the data assets they have available and make impactful recommendations about how specific approaches and techniques can generate insights to drive their business
- Recommend appropriate statistical techniques and be comfortable defending use over other potential techniques
- Discuss and recommend data management and reporting / dashboard/ visualization solutions and initiatives
- Work with all kinds of data sets including transactional, behavioral, survey research, unstructured (call center, comments, social media etc.)
- Be comfortable working with structured and un-structured data that is often not clean
- Look across data sources, combining multiple data sources where relevant, to deliver deeper insights
- Develop compelling analytical outputs in terms of design and usability by working with internal design and dashboard teams
- Clearly communicate the results of the analytical findings to technical and non-technical business decision makers
- Manage independent and team projects and lead a team of analysts who will mostly be based out of India
- Represent our Analytics position in the external market place (analysts, media, conferences, events etc.)
2.2 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (and Master's degree preferred) in statistics / econometrics / analytics / engineering / business administration.
- 6+ years- experience in an Analytics or Business Intelligence role, or in the analytics division of a company
- 4+ years- Vendor experience required. Client experience preferred.
- 2+ years- experience in technology and CPG/Retail industry preferred
- Experience in working with a broad base of industry verticals, such as Technology, CPG, Retail, Healthcare, Banking & Financial services
- Very strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills required for synthesis of data and interpretation of results
- Understanding of various statistical tools like SPSS, SAS, R.
- Understanding of various data management and reporting tools like SQLServer, Oracle, SSIS, Informatica, SSRS, Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikView, Cognos.
- Understanding of Datamart concepts preferred
- Ability to think strategically and assess key client /business issues being addressed through analytics
- Ability to interface well with all levels of the organization, partnering well across all geographies and functions
- Strong client services skills
- Experience of working in outsourcing industry and onshore-offshore environment is mandatory
3. COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
