Analyst - Venture Capital

Analyst [Venture Capital] position for one of India's most storied business houses with strong legacy,

Job Profile:

1. Deal Origination:

- Build pipeline / database for deal sourcing via universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, bankers, etc.

- Methodically work towards creating propriety deal pipeline (leveraging various databases)

- Map emerging trends (global and India) and deal activity in specific identified sector(s)

2. Investing

- Develop deep understanding of the identified focus sectors

- Helping team in:

- Detailed evaluation of potential investment opportunities

- Preparing detailed financial models and valuation exercise

- Preparing IC presentations / notes

- Diligence on the portfolio cos. - Financial, Legal and commercial

- Structuring transactions

- Execution of investment agreements / documents

3. Portfolio Monitoring

- Actively involve in monitoring portfolio companies - including financial and operating performance

- Preparation of periodic reports for internal review

Education/Certification :

- Engineer / B.Tech (pref. Computer science) (IIT/BITS) / MBA (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, etc.) / Engineer B.Tech (pref. Computer science) (IIT/BITS/NIT) + MBA ((IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, etc.) / CA + CS / CA

- 1-3 years investing experience

- Preferably helped investment team in few early-stage transactions
