Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the analytic needs of the business by analyzing web information using tools such as Omniture, Site Catalyst and produce reports relating to outcomes.
- Measure the effectiveness of web marketing campaigns by analyzing web traffic data as well as customer and business metrics. Utilize data sources to stitch together a comprehensive customer-centric view of our digital properties and help drive core insights from the data to suggest, create and execute plans for to drive improvements to the site/ customer experience.
- Participate in the development of test and target strategies, their implementation and tracking overall
- Track click through rates and other conversion metrics to present a story to the business for online channel campaigns
- Create dashboards by pulling data from different data sources and websites for presentations to senior management team.
- Help drive core insights from the data to suggest, create and execute plans for to drive improvements to the online marketing efforts.
- The analyst will focus on website and support decision making. He/She may also work with the technology team to identify gaps and improve the data capture strategy. He/She can also help ensure that best practices in metrics and decision making are being exposed to the BU management and core website decision makers.
Knowledge / Background / Experience:
MBA, MA Economics required
- 2-7 years of experience in web measurement, strategic customer analysis area required and working with standard clickstream analysis tools like Omniture Sitecatalyst.
- Preferably having experience in Omniture Insight and Omniture Test & Target.
- Experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research would be an advantage.
- Should ideally have worked extensively on analysis pertaining to own company website as opposed to public sites or social networks being the key focus
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills
- Measurement experience in mobile space preferred
- Business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions / business units preferred.
- Demonstrated above-par analytical ability
- Flair for quantitative data analyses and interpretation
- Ability to process data to draw insights, answering “so what” questions about data
- Able to synthesize large volumes of data into comprehensible and insightful information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with specific focus on “persuasive, influencing”
communication style
- Also able to generate coherent and intelligent frameworks to convey own insights
- Attention to detail, especially in all aspects of report making from research to preparation of presentation and client interaction
- Would typically be in the top 10% of his/ her organization, performance-wise
