Analyst / Sr Analyst / Associate

Position Summary:

- Gravitas is looking for a Risk Analyst/ Sr Analyst/ Associate to work with a client, a leading global alternative asset manager. The job description and requirements are listed below.

Job Description:

Support the client’s risk function and having a good understanding of risk concepts

Risk Production and Reporting

- Daily, Weekly, Monthly and /or adhoc risk dashboards which are tailored to the information needs of the recipient

- Address data completeness for risk analysis, daily position reconciliation exceptions. Compile and validate data from various sources to issue reliable and timely reports

- Ensure compliance monitoring in matters relating to warning or violations of trading risk limits

- Recommend appropriate policies and other controls surrounding risk and the overall usability and reliability of report generated.

Risk Analysis

- Modelling cash flows to quantify the risk and provide hedging solutions

- Provide initial commentary in periodic performance analysis linking the fund’s performance to specific trading strategies, positions, market statistics, and underlying risks.

- Performance benchmarking (e.g. Sharpe Ratios etc.) against similar investment vehicles and other investment choices

Key Skills:

- Expertise in Market Risk/ Credit Risk is required with specific focus on Value at Risk (VaR), scenario analysis and stress testing

- Knowledge about valuation and modeling of financial products from Fixed Income, Equity and Credit Markets

- Knowledge of global markets dynamics including macroeconomics, news analysis and ability to relate financial markets event to trade performance

- Expertise in MS Excel/ MS Office and would have good working knowledge of VB

- Excellent communication skills; including written and oral. The ability to communicate the results of risk analysis to traders/portfolio managers in comprehensible terms is crucial

Requirements:

- 1 to 7 years experience in Risk Management

- Graduation from a top tier technology or management (IIT/ IIM/ BITS) institute in India
