Analyst/Sr Analyst/AM - Research & Analytics - Insurance/Banking & Life Sciences Vertical

We are hiring for Associate/Sr.Associate for Insurance,Banking and Life sciences vertical with a leading client in Mumbai/Hyderabad.

Job responsibilities:

Strong understanding of where to apply caution in interpreting statistical results through methods such as performing tests on residuals, testing out of sample performance, etc.

Proficienciy in one or more statistical tools like SAS (preferred), SPSS, or STATA. Ability to develop compelling data visualizations using one or more tools like Tableau, Spotfire, or other visualization tools.

- Business research/thought leadership in LSHC and Financial Servises Industry industry; Specialization in any one or more sub-sectors of LSHC/FSI such as life sciences, health plans, health care providers with broad understanding of the cross-sector linkages and implications

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Greater weightage for more developed skills in journalistic and narrative style of writing. Prior experience in report-writing, journalism, research report development will be preferred.

Liaising with other research teams in the global information center to provide a comprehensive service beyond the local team. Providing after hours assistance to other time zones.

Responding to enquiries on public & private companies and industries in a timely manner, primarily from the investment banking department. The majority of documents enquiries involve provision of company filings, company press and announcements, broker research, prospectuses and offer documents, as well as company financials, shareholdings, biographical and market information

- Working closely with the research delivery analysts in Mumbai and Onshore teams to ensure timely delivery of products with the best deliverable standards

- Logging all enquiries onto the departmental tracking system

Skills Sets:

- Proficiency in databases including 10-K wizard, SEC Filings, Autex Block Data, Bloomberg, Bank Scope, Factset, Factiva, Hoovers, Merger Market, Perfect Filings, Ratings Agencies (S&P, Moody's) Strategy Manager (Dealogic), Thomson SDC, DataStream, T1.com, S&P, Capital IQ, EuroMonitor, Amadeus, Zawya etc.
