Our client is one of the largest physical commodities trading groups in the world, and they are currently looking for qualified ACA / ACCA / CA accountant to for their Direct Tax team.
Main Purpose :
The role will be to assist the tax accounting and compliance manager with the tax accounting function. Main responsibilities will include the maintenance of the tax ledgers, process documents and administration duties. You will play a key role in accounting for all tax related issues for the global organization. Department Info :
The corporate tax team is based in various locations worldwide; however this role would be working mainly with the group tax function. As a department, we are responsible for tax position of the Group. This includes tax compliance, accounting, reporting and planning.
Key Responsibilities for the said role is as follows :
- Coordination of tax payments and the processing thereof in the tax ledgers
- Monthly intercompany clearing
- Updating of tax movement schedules
- Maintenance of all hard & soft copy filing for tax department
- Monthly closing of tax ledgers
- Maintenance of Hyperion scheduler for Group Reporting purposes
- Monthly hedging of the tax position
- Hedge effectiveness testing on a monthly basis
- Coordination of hedges relating to tax payments
- Filing of estimated tax assessments in various jurisdictions
- Quarterly FX and hedging revaluation on tax assets / liabilities
- Assistance with gathering information for purposes of year end audits and preparation of tax returns
- Coordination of requests from other departments for tax documentation
- Upkeep of various tax information documents
- Other ad-hoc duties when required

Skills :
- Microsoft Office knowledge with strong skills in Excel is required
- Fluent English required
- Experience demonstrating skill performing basic analytical tasks (e.g., reconciling data, ensuring accuracy of data); maintaining numerous electronic and paper files; using basic office equipment.

Experience & Education :
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CA (1st / 2nd attempt) accountant
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in similar positions or relevant role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting.
