Job Title: Portfolio Monitoring Analyst

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 5-10 years in private equity investments

Job Description:

Pre-Investing:

- Lead legal due diligence and financial due diligence processes for approved private equity transactions.

- Develop the scope of due diligence work, select external consultants, legal counsels, etc.

- Prepare consolidated reports on due diligence findings for Investment Committee approvals.

Portfolio Management:

- Conduct diligence, industry benchmarking, and research.

- Regularly monitor and report on portfolio performance to the Fund Manager.

- Lead end-to-end investing transactions, including preparation of valuation models, deal structuring, and negotiations on deal documents.

Post-Investment:

- Actively monitor portfolio companies, including financial and operating performance.

- Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies.

- Prepare periodic reports on portfolio companies and implement exit strategies within 3-5 years.

Reporting and Networking:

- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and investors on portfolio performance and investment strategy.

- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry players to stay informed on trends and opportunities.

Industry Research and Thought Leadership:

- Stay updated on trends and innovations in the industry and share insights with the investment team.

- Conduct regular assessments and screenings of investment opportunities.

- Understand market drivers, assess risks and opportunities, and prepare financial models.

- Prepare investment management information systems (MIS) and dashboards.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and execute investment opportunities in private companies through direct investment or PE/VC funds.

- This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively manage portfolio investments while staying abreast of industry trends and fostering relationships within the investment ecosystem.
