Overall purpose of role:

The candidate is expected to work in a high intensity, results oriented team environment as part of the Markets Client Strategy team in Mumbai, which is virtual extension of Global Markets Client Strategy team. The candidate is responsible for producing Business Strategy presentations, Business Performance reviews and performing ad-hoc customized analysis. The candidate is expected to interact closely with counterparts in other regions and products to understand their requirements and deliver innovative and accurate result in minimum duration.

The role requires sound understanding of Markets Business (Equities, Credit and Macro) and Strategy, good eye for detail and an ability to liaise with the Senior Business Managers, Trading desks and Technology teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical business strategy inputs.

This role provides the opportunity to make a strong immediate contribution for applicants who are proactive, tenacious and eager to learn about multiple products and clients.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

Key specific accountabilities.

Produce Client Strategy / Trading Strategy reports for Desk Heads and Senior Management

Create Account Plans / Game Plans for Key clients across Sales and Trading desk

Provide Competitor Analysis landscapes (Coalition & Greenwich) for Senior Management meetings

Develop dashboards and various MIS reports analyzing volume, Revenue, Risk, Productivity and Sectors etc..

Automate current reports and develop new reports in Analytical tools like Qlikview, Spotfire, (BO) Business Objects, Proclarity etc

Analyze Business Performance matrix for business/desk reviews

Provide desk with ad-hoc analysis on desk coverage, sales interactions, tiered clients, etc..

Identify and implement controls to enhance participation in the Markets client strategy and technology platforms

Stakeholder management and leadership.

The candidate would have to interact with counterparts in New York, London and APAC. The candidate need to closely work with Business Managers and Sales Heads to understand their requirements and deliver as per their expectation with minimum iterations. The candidate is expected to come up with innovative ideas and business solutions, to deliver accurate final output in an optimal way.

Decision making and problem solving.

The candidate will have to be proactive in identifying issues and getting them resolved by liasing with various stakeholders

The candidate needs to work on several time sensitive activities and hence is required to be meticulous and efficient

Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Your Skills and Qualifications will include

Good powerpoint and excel knowledge including VBA. Programming skills/ exposure to Qlikview are an added benefit

Excellent communication skills (oral/written) as the candidate would have to work with Onshore teams globally including Business Managers and Sales Heads to understand their requirements and deliver as per their expectation with minimum iterations.

Knowledge of Markets Business and their risk factors

Strong Analytical Skills

Aptitude for self learning - Should be able to demonstrate a self starting attitude

Proactive in nature. Should be able to take decisions and support those.
