Judgemental Underwriting - Analyst

Hiring Judgemental Underwriting - Analyst an eCommerce Financial Firm having its inhouse Analytics team in US Now in INDIA, Bangalore also.

What you'll be doing : Some of the responsibilities are to :

- Prepare, review and analyze creditworthiness of personal and commercial loan origination's and renewals

- Manage judgmental underwriting by evaluating additional customer information including company financials

- Manage large scale end to end projects, including vendor scores and technological implementation assessments

- Leverage customer data and transactional unstructured data to build risk segmentation and mitigation strategies

- Perform various departmental functions, including loan criteria monitoring, risk rating and stress testing

- Ensure an appropriate balance between risk and customer experience at application, authentication, transaction, funds disbursement, and within client contact points

- Complete complex analyses identifying authentication strategy and procedure gaps, manage implementation process across all credit life cycles to affect change

- Build necessary reporting to track the effectiveness of underwriting strategy and decision tools

- Work in tight collaboration with credit operations and customer service to ensure business effectiveness of Risk & Fraud strategy

- Work with Technology team to drive availability of relevant data, tools and infrastructure and continue to enhance automated underwriting capability

Experience & Requirements :

- Bachelors/ Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute (IIT, IIM or equivalent)

- Minimum 3+ years of data mining experience preferably in a risk management context

- Knowledge of US consumer lending and credit risk management practices - credit card, personal loans, mortgage lending experience

- Expertise in statistical tools such as SAS, R and/or SPSS or related

- Experience in data manipulation languages such as SQL, Python preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
