The position is with a Global Investment Bank's Mumbai center. The role is at an Analyst level within the Strategy unit of the Bank's M&A / Markets ( FICC & Equities ) Businesses and Chief Administrative office. The Strategy division is pivotal in shaping the Bank's longer term strategy for its M&A / Markets ( FICC & Equities ) and CAO's business . The work of the strategy team includes business performance review, analysis of it's business and operating model, market entry strategy, acquisition screening and industry & competitor analysis. The team works directly with senior management across the businesses and regions to determine the optimal strategy for reaching the Bank's business aspirations in the rapidly changing market environment. Role & Responsibilities : 1. Work as a part of the Strategy division on global, regional and divisional projects. 2. Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off-sites, town halls. 3. Support management / business on strategic projects (e.g. assessing the impact of - Brexit- on banking industry and scenario analysis, impact of changing regulations on capital markets business, acquisition screening / evaluation, etc). 4. Strategic assessment of under performing businesses and development of scenarios /recommendations for business heads. 5. Conduct analysis of the competitive and general macro / market environment for senior management presentations, develop market sizing / revenue pool models. 6. Prepare quarterly presentation on key division's earnings covering financial performance analysis, changes in business environment and key themes impacting the earnings. 7. Most of the projects require working closely with strategy team members, business heads,finance and other functional teams in different regions; working independently or with the support of another member of the team. 8. Role provides wide exposure into investment banking industry across Fixed Income, Equities and IB Advisory. Desired Skills and experience : 1. MBA Tier 1 2. Prior / Current experience in Business Strategy / Business Analysis, Management reporting, Stakeholder Engagement 3. Working knowledge of Financial products ( Fixed Income / Equities ) and Capital Market ( M&A, ECM, DCM ).
