Analyst - Corporate Development and Strategy

Our client is building India's first household centric, data led 'high-tech high-touch' distribution platform to meet the growing aspirations of rural India, with a bouquet of financial and productivity enhancing offerings.

About the role:

- The Corporate Development and Strategy team is responsible for designing and executing projects related to operational and strategic goals of the company. This is a high visibility team, working closely with the CXOs at company.

- The Analyst is a key member of this team and this position presents an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of such projects which cut across our businesses horizontally and vertically.

- Ability to outperform in a continuously fast-paced environment is a basic trait that we are looking for.

- Candidates with a strong analytical mindset, with ability to perform deep research and analysis (including financial analysis) shall be among the winners.

Responsibilities:

- Work on strategy projects along with the Corp Dev team and/or CXOs

- Do research for various strategy initiatives being undertaken by the Corp Dev team

- Design and prepare business models starting from one part of the business to the the entire business

- Work with seniors on capital raising projects, including data room preparation and updation on a continuous basis

- Updating and maintaining multiple Management Information Systems/Dashboards on a continuous basis

- Work closely with the senior team members to make trackers/deliverables for project management of different types of projects

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a startup/consulting organization/investment banking/corporate finance advisory/fast-paced-environment and a degree from a premier institution

- Excellent skills with MS, Excel, Word and Powerpoint

- Good degree of expertise in building and analysing excel models

- Good degree of expertise in conducting secondary research, industry analysis etc

- Fundamental understanding of corporate finance and financial statements

- Strong desire to work hard

- Superior analytical and problem solving skills

- Ability to multi-task

- Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Self-starter, with good team skills

- Experience in financial services/agri/insurance sectors is a plus
