Analyst - Business Development
Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis:
- Prepare proposals and offers for customers which are comprehensive in scope and compelling in their presentation to ensure the customer see full value of working with Tabreed. Basis customer proposals and discussions to prepare investment committee, finance and other board presentations for investment decision making
- Conduct needed due diligence activities of potential investments as well as on going plant investment reviews via financial modelling and risk analysis
- Support the Reporting Manager(s) BD through structuring, contract negotiation, financing and project development process for execution of new project wins
- Work collaboratively with various departments across the parent company especially the Development, Engineering, Projects, Finance and O&M functions in leveraging the group's capabilities to proposing fit for purpose solutions to customers
- Support ongoing government, regulatory body or other key industry participants engagement activities being led and managed by the BD team to condition the market for a future pipeline of district cooling opportunities
- Maintain relationships with customers and support in developing new relationships. This would involve being fully aware of Tabreed's service offerings and latest trends in the industry to offer relevant insight and advice to customers
Project Finance:- Secure SPV project financing and develop hedging strategy for Greenfield and M&A transactions on a non/limited recourse basis to optimize capital structure
- Perform financial and business analysis, in support of corporate business plans, new business development projects, pricing alternatives and other business strategies
- Negotiate terms with lenders
- Review legal documentation on all financing documents (in liaison with Tabreed Legal Dept.
- Ensure all CS and CPs are met in order to drawdown on loan
Business Development Support:- Continuously review market opportunities
- Take part in commercial negotiations with potential clients
- Identify and source connection opportunities to Tabreed's existing Assets
- Work with Projects and Engineering departments to develop technical solutions for new projects
- Build and review financial models for new projects and ensure Tabreed's minimum investment criteria are met for all projects
- Produce analysis of risks associated with new projects
- Present new projects in Tabreed's Investment Committees
Policies & Procedures:- Follows all relevant Department/Unit policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Ensuring the organization adheres to legal frameworks in areas such as discipline & grievance, redundancy, and employment law
Health, Safety & Environment:- Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering/Finance or equivalent
- MBA or CFA or CA or any such relevant higher education is preferred
Minimum Experience:- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in renewables, utilities, real estate, or in investment banking, private equity, consulting - with exposure to renewables, utilities and/or real estate
- Exposure to financial analysis or development experience in sectors involving large capital investment decisions.
