We are a growth-stage Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) startup in the Pricing Intelligence space seeking a dynamic individual to join the Founder/CEO's Office. In this role, you will act as a trusted ally and operational backbone of the company. You will work at the intersection of all departments, stepping in wherever necessary to drive projects and solve problems across marketing, operations, product development, HR, and more. This position balances high-level strategic planning with hands-on operational execution, ensuring the founder's vision is translated into results on the ground. It's a challenging, fast-paced role that offers unparalleled exposure to every facet of a data-driven business, from strategy formulation to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Inputs: Be a strategic advisor on key decisions and managing high-impact initiatives for leadership.
- Prioritization & Time Management: Enable the Founder/CEO and Leadership to focus on high-priority, high-impact issues by triaging, delegating, or deferring lower-priority tasks. Optimize the efforts to maximize productivity, making judgment calls on which meetings or issues require the CEO's or Leadership's attention.
- Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives: Drive and oversee cross-functional projects critical to the company's growth. Work closely with department heads and C-level leaders and other key members to coordinate strategic initiatives from conception through execution, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of key projects. This includes program managing large-scale initiatives and aligning them with the company's vision and goals.
- Strategy Execution & Operations: Translate the CEO's strategic vision into actionable plans and executable programs. Help define company goals and OKRs, and drive execution by clarifying ownership, aligning teams, and ensuring operational processes run smoothly with minimal bottlenecks. Identify areas where processes can be improved or scaled, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Stakeholder Communication & Liaison: Act as a liaison between the Founder/CEO and both internal teams and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Ensure a smooth flow of information across the company and intercept issues before they escalate, effectively removing roadblocks caused by the founder's limited bandwidth. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion while keeping the founder and leadership team informed of important developments.
- Data, Reporting & Insights (MIS): Establish and own robust management information systems and reporting cadences for the startup. Gather data from various departments to create weekly/monthly dashboards and updates on key performance metrics. Ensure reporting is structured and comprehensive (not ad hoc), providing the founder and leadership with data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Special Projects (Growth, Fundraising, Hiring): Tackle high-impact special projects that fall outside the scope of any one department. This can range from assisting in go-to-market strategies and exploring new growth opportunities, work on key hiring initiatives for critical roles, coordinating with recruiters, and participating in interviewing or onboarding processes as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree with a minimum 24 months of experience pre-MBA experience.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven mindset. Comfortable dissecting data and using tools like spreadsheets, BI platforms, or basic scripting to inform decisions. You should be able to run analyses on key business metrics and derive actionable insights.
- Adaptability & Resourcefulness: Highly adaptable and resourceful, able to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced conditions where priorities can shift rapidly. A demonstrated ability to "pivot quickly" and tackle new challenges enthusiastically is essential.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must. Able to articulate complex ideas clearly and tailor communication to different audiences (from frontline employees to the board). Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead by influence rather than authority. You can rally teams around a common goal and navigate stakeholder relationships diplomatically. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to constructively challenge ideas and drive consensus in the best interest of the business.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a talent for multitasking and prioritizing under pressure. You can juggle multiple initiatives and deadlines without dropping the ball, and you bring a detail-oriented, process-minded approach to executing plans.
- Integrity & Discretion: Unimpeachable integrity and professionalism. Given the high level of access to sensitive company information, you must handle all confidential matters with utmost discretion. The founder/CEO needs to completely trust that you will safeguard information and act in the company's best interest at all times.
- Ownership & Drive: A self-starter mentality with a high degree of ownership and bias for action. You take the initiative to identify what needs to be done and drive it to completion without hand-holding, embodying the proactive "high-agency" attitude crucial for this role.
Benefits:
- Impact & Growth: Step into a high-impact role where you will directly influence the company's strategy and success. You'll get front-row experience in building a startup, working side-by-side with the founder to tackle our most critical challenges.
- Learning & Mentorship: Work closely with an experienced founding team and gain exposure to all facets of running a tech startup. This role is often a fast-track for future entrepreneurs and leaders, offering mentorship, learning opportunities, and personal growth that few other positions can match.
- Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and a significant equity stake in the company. You will share in the upside you help create, aligning your incentives with the success of the business.
- Dynamic Culture: Join a small but passionate team in a fast-paced, collaborative, and flexible work environment. We value initiative, creativity, and the open exchange of ideas. You'll have the autonomy to shape your work and the support to thrive.
