Manager - Structure Design & Quality (Preferred IIT/DCE/NIT/NSIT)

The Company :

Amplus is a Solar Project Development and Consulting Company focused on development of small to mid size renewable generation assets in India and providing captive power solutions to consumers from its owned plants.

Purpose :

- Design & engineering of steel structure for Rooftop solar plants and Ground Mounted

- Quality control supervision of material and production

Education and Relevant Experience :

- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Structural designing, quality assurance, etc. for steel structures as per IS ( Solar Plant experience is preferred but not mandatory)

- Additional Knowledge on Foundation Methods will be an added incentive

- Graduation/ post graduation in Mechanical Engineering / Structural engineering

- Understanding of AutoCAD (2D and 3D both), STAAD PRO, 3D Design, FE Analysis, etc for Structural stability reports and analysis

- Able to handle coordination with Procurement, Project and QC

- Understanding of Indian and International codes applicable in steel industry.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and open communication style

- Monitor and lead cost reduction programs and continuous product R&D

- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a matrix work environment with little supervision.

- Flexibility to adapt to unexpected situations.

- Good troubleshooting & analytical capability.

- Ability to handle a team of inexperienced draftsmen

- Highly organized, detail-oriented and has the ability to multi-task

- Entrepreneurial spirit will be preferred

Responsibilities :

- Pre-design site visit to collect first hand data required for final design documentation.

- Complete designing & bill of material (BOM) preparation.

- Post-design site visit to get the design approval from clients.

- Assist procurement team to finalize specifications of BOM, through (a) comparative analysis of various options and (b) technical discussions with vendors.

- Pre- dispatch inspections of material.

- Remote support to installation team on design & engineering related issues.

- Check the implementation of installation quality assurance plan (QAP).

- Post- installation site visit to make the As-Built drawings.

- Tracking new industry developments related to designs of steel structures
