Job Summary:
- This role is responsible for the financial growth of legal and corporate services to be provided from India. The role will look for new business opportunities in the Company Management/ Fiduciary/ Trust Services for various clients including: offshore clients, foreign clients investing in India and Indian clients for their global needs. An innovative, entrepreneurial mind set and project management discipline is essential to succeed in this role as the core focus is commercial. Business development through marketing efforts aligned with Amicorp Group guidelines is created into the role.
- This role is required to work closely with Sales Directors as a whole to also promote and grow legal and corporate services and act as a subject matter expert for such enquiries or initiatives. Service delivery of legal and corporate services is achieved through a dedicated team of professionals. This role is required to establish a synergy between capabilities that exist within (to promote, grow and sell) and to develop new capabilities (where skills need to be developed to improve existing or add new services).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive business development activities, and be responsible for the commercial growth of legal and corporate services in Bangalore. In other words, this role is responsible for business from new and existing clients.
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of existing managed and non-managed portfolios to identify additional service offerings that can be provided from the Bangalore office.
- Achieve a defined revenue growth goal and financial target for services offered from the legal and corporate service offering, Bangalore (new business from existing clients, new business from new clients)
- Drive the local offices (across 30+ countries) in the adoption of the operating model of delivering corporate secretarial services from the Bangalore office, ensuring quality and 100% completion of projects on time.
- Ensure financial success for self with financial targets and drive the client billing of the team - Lead business development activities and marketing plan with key clients across all jurisdictions that have growth potential. Engage Subject Matter Experts (SME) team appropriately as with key sales officers.
- Undertake such other duties, related to the position, as may from time to time be agreed with Management. Also work with team managers of legal and corporate services to plan, coordinate, develop skills and prioritize the activities and workload of the legal and corporate services team to align with existing and new business growth goals as a whole
- Participate in the evaluation of the department's commercial success.
Educational and Experience Details:
- Qualified lawyer or experience within the legal field with minimum of 12 years' experience in Sales/Business Development and having actually sold and met/achieved a financial target directly will help (this must be quantifiable)
- Background of corporate structuring and company legal/legal project management experience required. Functional knowledge of MS office suite of tools required (2007 and above).
- Proven work experience of selling such services to individuals and corporates while meeting or exceeding commercial target set for oneself.
- A proven ability to penetrate the required domestic and international markets for business development, marketing and closure of sales
- Well-informed about current and relevant legal issues, regulations, investments, tax and legal developments that impact accounting/finance
- Strong customer focus, team orientation and exceptional written and spoken communication skills.
- Anticipates, adapts quickly and applies creative thinking for solving unique client challenges to ensure services offered are meaningful and relevant to clients requirements.
- A good personal network of corporate clients and intermediaries or references is essential
