Service Delivery Leader - Project Management

Responsibilities :
The Strategy & Process Improvement (S&PI) team is responsible for identifying, scoping, planning and executing transformational projects for Controllership and Finance. The team supports the Finance organization (with a primary focus on Controllership) to deliver projects that improve processes, provide efficiency, enhance the control environment, support business growth activities and implement new technologies.
This manager role is a critical part of the S&PI organization and involves working across Controllership and Finance on multiple projects concurrently, likely with different project Owners/Sponsors to deliver processing efficiencies and improve control and compliance. It has significant exposure to global stakeholders and key partners in Finance and Technologies, as well as Senior Leadership within Controllership. This position will report to the Director, Strategy and Process Improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, report and drive projects forward
- Work extensively with the initiative stakeholders and business process owners to coordinate end to end requirements, design, testing and deployment including change management associated with the initiative
- Adhering to project standards and governance models and applying consistent project delivery methodologies and standards.

Required Qualifications :
- Minimum three years experience delivering results in Project Management either through Consulting or working within American Express Finance
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within a matrix organization
- Strong process orientation and analytical/problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to lead change, strong change management experience
- Strong relationship leadership and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of positively collaborating, influencing and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners including Senior Leaders
- Good team player, comfortable to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, within a cross-border, remote team environment
- High proficiency in all MS-Office applications
- Degree or Professional Qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
