This position is part of the Global Operations and Accounting organization. This position will be responsible for managing various Membership Rewards financial processes and linked projects. Which includes but not limited to MR contractual Payment, Account Reconciliation and General Ledger Accounting. The selected candidate will work closely with Marketing & Controllership teams and other Business Partners. The incumbent will ensure that integrity; control and optimal functionality are maintained to ensure improvement of processes and associated cost/quality metrics. This is a people leadership position. The incumbent should have prior experience of leading a team of atleast 10-15 people and should be able to take responsibility for driving and managing a high level of Employee Motivation and Engagement Position will be involved in various critical time bound projects. Incumbent should have prior project management experience. Representative activities include the following: . Ensuring timely and accurate payments . Maintaining the integrity of financial statements . Compliance with AXP policies and US GAAP . Ensuring seamless Month Close Process . Managing and driving customer relationships .Managing change

Candidates should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Strong accounting/ payment operations background, with good understanding of financial controls .

Proven ability to drive and implement initiatives towards automation/ standardization of processes .

Demonstrated people leadership abilities with proven results .

Strong project management skills .

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with flair for dealing with people at all levels .

Analytical capabilities and the ability to think strategically .

Strong "Can Do" attitude with a Will to Win .

Ability to analyze complex situations and influence others to drive change .

Capability to think 'Outside The Box' to offer alternate perspectives and solutions to increase productivity and significantly reduce cost of operations .

Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines .

Desirable : Six Sigma Certification/Training, Oracle knowledge .

Qualifications:

CA/MBA with atleast 8 years of experience.The incumbent must possess strong business acumen and have a high level of professional maturity to respond quickly to all issues/queries.

Must have people management experience
