Job Description :   - To work as part of the American Express International Tax Team to support new GIAC (Governance, Information, Audit and Compliance) team.   - Initially supporting the EMEA region but with potential to support the wider international team.   Main responsibilities :   Corporate Income Tax Returns :  - Work in collaboration with multiple internal and external international stakeholders to ensure the EMEA CITRs are reviewed, technically accurate, submitted on time and that all relevant documents have been stored centrally.   CIT Payments :  - Support with the monitoring and management of CIT payments throughout the EMEA region.   Tax Law :  - Support an EMEA tax manager to research tax law changes across the EMEA region on a quarterly basis, access impact on Amex and report to the wider global tax team.   Direct Tax Audits :  - Support an EMEA tax manager with the governance of multiple Direct Tax Audits in the EMEA region.   - Ensure that database (SharePoint) used to support governance throughout the region is updated and operating effectively  - Other responsibilities will be to support both the EMEA team with ad-hoc projects such as CBCr and UK tax return support, and the wider global tax team with ad-hoc requests.   This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.  Qualifications :   - Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax  - Advanced degree preferred (e.g., Masters).  - English speaking.  - Other European languages will be advantageous.   Experience :   - Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a finance consulting or in-house environment. Preferably big four.  - Corporate tax experience essential.   Software :   Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  Experience of Microsoft SharePoint will be advantageous .   Other Knowledge :  Skills and Abilities :  Strong analytical skills.   Ability to manage competing demands and execute assigned tasks quickly and accurately  - Strong ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.  - Experience of working remotely within a larger MNE.   - A understanding and knowledge of American Express   - Project Management / Processes governance experience  Job type : Full Time  #NOLI
