We will accomplish this by having the most talented teams who are supported by best-in-class capabilities and processes.   The Global Credit Administration Learning Network (GCALN) Delivery Director leads the day to day learning operations and end to end training strategies for GCA. The key objective of this role is to ensure that all learners achieve best in class performance results. The Delivery Director partners with key stakeholders globally to ensure business objectives are achieved, while ensuring modifications are made to meet the dynamic landscape of GCA. This person will manage four Global Delivery Managers and are responsible for driving the performance of their directorate of 40+ employees. The Delivery Director will work closely with their team to analyze classroom and OJT performance of approximately 800+ new learners annually, and effectively develop strategies to achieve learning curve targets.   Additional responsibilities include creating an engaging and inspiring workforce that fosters a growth mindset culture within GCALN. This person will ensure the GCA training needs are met through the delivery and evaluation of best in class training methodologies. Maintaining strong collaborative working relationships to ensure strong learner performance is achieved throughout the training lifecycle and effective transition to the business.   Key Deliverables   - Experience in Learning Strategy and Management   - Partner closely with multiple levels of leadership for learning solutions   - Capacity planning and prioritization of training delivery   - Supports team development and global strategy through best practices and staff alignment   - Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training (onboarding, upskilling) and make recommendations to action improvements as indicated by training evaluation data and business performance metrics   - Analyze GCALN and New Hire Specialist performance, and responsible for delivering solid on-the-job training performance results that inspires early proficiency in the process.   - Oversees the GCALN Delivery strategies in multiple markets and time zones   - Drives employee engagement and recognition across GCALN and the New Hire experience   - Conducts team meetings, one-to-ones and other team/department development activities   - 100% adherence to all compliance standards in the learning environment   - Use of business tools and reporting to evaluate learning performance   - Manage the deployment of training evaluation tools   - Execute delivery of training strategy   - Champion programs to continuously build Learning Specialist skills, capabilities and bench-strength including the virtual learning environment   - Research learning methodology benchmark and evaluate industry best practice   - Flexibility to work a day or evening shift to meet the needs of the business   Requirements   - 5+ years in a Adult Learning, Corporate Training environment a plus   - 5+ years people management experience (groups of 25+)   - Strong leadership skills to develop, coach and motivate professional staff   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to foster strong working relationships and influence at all levels within and across the organization   - Strong problem solving and analytical skills to review data and devise robust learning/coaching strategies   - Experience leading remotely across multiple locations is preferred   - Ability to multi-task, influence and negotiate across markets and functions   - Highly effective at decision making, workload prioritization and project management   - Outstanding innovative thinking skills with demonstrated influence and collaboration skills to drive new ideas and change across the business   - Results driven with a strong will to win and customer focus   - Flexible and responsive to rapid change and strong ability to operate in a very dynamic environment   - Understanding of the GCA Businesses and Learning Network Strategy   - Prior experience in Training Delivery, Design and or OJT processes   - Prior experience in an Operations environment, understanding business metrics and key performance indicators   - University graduate or equivalent combination of education and business experience required   Preferred   - Master's degree in Adult Education, Business Management or other related fields a plus.   - Previous experience leading exempt professionals with line leadership   - Virtual leadership experience   Environment   We offer a supportive, dynamic and professional environment that fosters, trust, diversity and we value our people.   American Express operates upon the foundation of company values, to which all employees subscribe to.
