Function Description :


The CFR team helps drive profitable business growth by reducing the risk of fraud and maintaining our customers' confidence in the security of our products. It utilizes an array of tools and ever-evolving technology to detect and combat fraud, minimize the disruption of good spending and provide a world-class customer experience. The team leads efforts that leverage data and digital advancements to improve service and risk management as well as enable commerce and drive innovation. CFR is responsible for developing and monitoring statistical models for predicting individual and commercial' behaviors such as credit risk, fraud risk, spending and revolve. These models are used for key business decisions made across the customer life cycle to manage risk and accelerate profitable business growth. Underpinning our growth as a company are the tools and capabilities that ensure we prudently take and manage risk in a viable way.


Purpose of the Role :


- The purpose of the role is to work on development of Loss Forecasting models (PD/LGD/EAD) for CECL and IFRS9 Regulatory frameworks


Responsibilities :


The person is expected to work on Credit Risk Modeling. The responsibilities include :


- Development of CECL and IFRS9 modeling framework (PD/LGD/EAD) to meet the new credit reserve standards set by the Financial Accounting and Standards Boards (FASB) and the International Accounting Standards Boards (IASB).


- Development and enhancement of CECL and IFRS9 loss forecasting models (PD/LGD/EAD) for credit and charge card portfolios.


- Perform quantitative analysis to evaluate multiple alternatives to generate insights and derive recommendations.


- Ongoing performance tracking of loss forecasting models and variance analysis of credit reserve levels.


- Development of business requirements and collaboration with technology partners for model implementation


Critical Factors to Success :


- Strong SAS and SQL programming skills, previous expereince in development of PD/LGD/EAD models for CCAR/IFRS9/CECL regulatory submissions and right attitude.


Business Outcomes :


- Development of Credit Risk Loss Forecasting models for IFRS9 and CECL regulatory submissions

Qualifications :


Past Experience :


- 0-4 years with relevant experience in Analytical/Modelling Skills


Preferred : Experience in SAS/SQL programming and/or Statistical modeling


Academic Background :


- Post Graduate in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering/Management


Functional Skills/Capabilities :


Data Science/Statistical Modelling/Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence


a. Expertise in Coding, Algorithm, High Performance Computing


b. Logistic/Linear/Fractional Logistic Regression Modelling


c. Advanced Statistical Techniques


d. Data correlation


e. Model Accuracy Techniques : Gini, Concordance, F-Score


Technical Skills/Capabilities :


- Strong analytical and data analysis skills (SAS, SQL)


- Previous model development experience is desirable.


- Strong analytical and data analysis (SAS, SQL) skills.


- Ability to apply advanced statistical and/or other quantitative techniques to solve business problems.


- Good written and oral communication skills.


- Ability to articulate complex theories, concepts, methodology and findings.


- Self motivated and with a sense of urgency.
